Melody is strategically minded, comfortable in a complex environment and thrives on challenges that require diverse skills.
She has over 15 years experience in Defence maritime projects and government enterprises, where she lead and managed insurance programs, operational and project risk and teams of specialists. Before this, Melody worked for global and national insurance broking firms.
A career highlight was the implementation and management of the Maritime Insurance Program, a bespoke insurable-risk program for the Department of Defence's continuous shipbuilding programs.
She has strong influencing and collaboration skills, and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of stakeholders at different levels, both internally and externally.
She supports a continuous improvement culture and team spirit.
She is a Board Member of PARIMA, a non-profit association for risk and insurance management professionals in Asia-Pacific, and a finalist for the ANZIIF 2017 Young Insurance Professional of the Year award.
Melody is a member of RMIA, and retains a security clearance along with a current Working with Children Check.
